Many people are aware that fighting HIV can be challenging, but few know about the additional health disparities it may introduce. SayPro is here to change that by bringing together experts from both fields to discuss innovative approaches to address these issues.

Attendees will hear from researchers and clinicians who are working in new and exciting ways to improve the lives of those living with HIV and substance use disorders. Through interactive discussions and breakout groups, attendees will learn about the latest research being conducted across the country, as well as how we can take this information and apply it to real-world situations. The day will end on a high note with a panel discussion where community leaders share their experience using SayPro as a tool to combat these issues in their own community. Join us at SayPro today!

Interaction between substance use and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is well-known to be dangerous, but that hasn’t stopped the stigma from keeping them at bay. But now, SayPro has changed that with its innovative approach to addressing health disparities in underserved racial/ethnic populations. In collaboration with the leading HIV organization, Imbiah Project, SayPro is launching SayPro Reaching Equity, a novel program designed to reach those most in need and raise awareness on these important issues.

The aim of this campaign is to increase the accurate knowledge on how substance use affects HIV transmission by engaging a variety of communities and individuals who have both lived with HIV and substance use disorders. By being proactive in changing the perceptions about this interaction, we can effectively reduce the incidence of new infections as well as further understand how to best treat patients related to these diseases.

Every day, people living with HIV and substance use disorders face significant barriers to accessing quality healthcare. Because they may not be able to afford treatment or transportation, they often fall through the cracks of existing systems. But SayPro wants to change that. For the past 15 years, the SayPro team has been on a mission to eliminate health disparities by reaching underserved communities with innovative approaches that address HIV-related health disparities. At SayPro, we recognize that addressing these issues requires a comprehensive approach that includes education about substance use as it relates to HIV transmission; providing access to high-quality substance use services; and equipping healthcare providers with the tools they need to best treat patients living with both conditions.

When it comes to substance use and HIV, there are many misconceptions that need to be shed. Discussions on the importance of testing for HIV and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are constantly being repeated, but in many ways, these messages fall short.

SayPro aims to expand these conversations and bring about change for those who need it most. For years, SayPro has been reaching out to individuals living with HIV and substance use disorders. They know how difficult it can be to navigate both conditions at once, so they’re committed to helping people find the resources they need so they can make informed decisions about their health.

With SayPro’s unique approach, you can help bridge divides between communities by providing language access programs or helping people find housing while also offering HIV services. Or you could reach out to underserved communities in a more holistic way by organizing events where people living with HIV meet others who share their experiences. The possibilities are endless – all thanks to SayPro!
