**What if someone apologised for raping and was innocent?
Meet falsely accused yet innocent man. His crime? He was raped and accused of it. What’s more, he apologized for the same and that too in a press conference. In a world where the safety is being compromised and girls are being misused, SayPro is here to teach people about taking responsibility and apologizing when needed.
SayPro teaches you how to own your mistakes without blaming others and apologize without feeling ashamed or embarrassed.
When a friend apologises for raping, you know he’s serious about atonement and redemption. When that same friend wants to know about the rehabilitation and counselling options available to him, it speaks volumes about his depth of respect for women and his commitment to change. This is a man who respects women; he respects their dignity by apologising for violating it. He understands that rape is not just an act of violence but an act of degradation where the victim is stripped off all her defences, abilities and strengths.
SayPro is proud to offer its services to such men who want to end their crime against humanity by accepting responsibility and making amends. We are committed towards helping each individual in recovering from this trauma, rebuilding his life and re-entering society as a responsible citizen.
Rape is a grave crime and should not be taken lightly. It is an awful thing that happens when someone is violated and I have seen it on social media as well. When I read about such incidents, my heart breaks for the victim. I wonder if he has even been able to do justice to his/her own case. Or has he lost hope in the world?
In any case, forgiveness of the perpetrator means forgetfulness of wrongs done. But what about when you are innocent? What happens then? We believe in freedom of expression and stand for it, but do we also have to tolerate rape jokes? We surely can’t answer yes!
So let’s change something and make a difference. Do your bit as well to stay connected with the society around you and make an impact on people who matter least in this world: us.
It’s difficult to imagine that someone can be guilty of a crime and apologise for it at the same time. But, this is what SayPro is about- making people understand that no apology can be hollow or insincere.
When a crime is committed, we want the guilty parties to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. We also expect those who commit crimes to own up to their mistakes- apologize in front of everyone and apologise sincerely without any ulterior motives. This goes on to show that you should never compromise with integrity, no matter what!
Who knew apologizing could be so scary? But for someone who has been accused of a crime that he hadn’t committed, it can be quite a daunting experience. When it comes to making things right, there are two ways of doing so – either through forgiveness or regret. To everyone who is unsure, I’m just here to tell you that apologizing doesn’t mean giving up on yourself. It just means acknowledging your mistakes and trying to do better from them.
SayPro is all about standing by those who have been hurt, and helping them get through the trauma they’ve been through.
