Meet SayPro, a not-for-profit organization in Mamelodi-Wes Seksie E area that provides a platform for unemployed youth to make a mark in the world.
SayPro provides free services like career counseling, interview skills training, and soft skills training to help them land that dream job quickly. They also organize social programs like community service and entrepreneurship to help them grow as an individual.

The youth unemployment crisis is a serious matter and there’s no denying that. Youth being unemployed for years on end spells huge risk of them not getting employable skills, which in turn leads to them being trapped in poverty forever. But now, it looks like things are changing with the SayPro initiative. Situated in Mamelodi, SayPro is an initiative that aims to empower unemployed youth living in the area via various skill-based programs.
SayPro’s vision is to see every youth living in Mamelodi-Wes Sesfie enjoying their life to the fullest and achieving their goals, no matter what they may be. So far, they have been doing just that with programs like coding bootcamps, digital marketing classes, and even entrepreneurship programs that aim to empower youth and give them the resources they need to succeed.
In Mamelodi-Wes Seksie area, unemployment stands at a staggering 80%. Senior citizens are also being targeted by cunning job aspirants who are preying on the ignorance of people. To stop this menace, SayPro has come up with a solution, where unemployed youth is empowered through training sessions and jobs.
