Youth unemployment has always been a problem, but lately it’s on the rise. As a result, there’s a new way to approach this issue – by turning it into an opportunity. That’s where SayPro comes in.
SayPro is an innovative way to tackle unemployment in the form of a social venture. They work with local schools and NGOs to identify and empower at-risk youth in Witbank Ext 2 area. The goal is to give them skills that will help them find employment, while also teaching important life skills that every young person should have. Not only does this initiative provide teens with the opportunity for a better future, it also helps close the gap between unemployed youth and employed adults by providing job education alongside career development opportunities for youth.
With its innovative approach, SayPro understands that turning youth unemployment into an opportunity takes creativity, innovation, and perseverance – but it will be worth it when they see young people are getting back on their feet and creating change in their community!

With an aim to make every youth employable, WITBANK has set up SayPro. As per Statista, India has over 25 million unemployed youth out of which 20 million are from 16-24 years age group. SayPro’s goal is to empower every youth and help him/her find a job as soon as possible in order to earn for themselves and their family.
When you face the toughest times in life, it’s easy to give up on everything. But that’s not what SayPro is all about. The SayPro movement is a concerted effort to provide employable skills and resources to unemployed youth living in WITBANK EXT 2 area of South India.
The SayPro initiative was started by Equitas Foundation in 2013, and since then it has grown exponentially. Today, there are over 50 volunteers who work together to create awareness via various social media platforms and events. They teach people how to apply for jobs, interview tips, grooming, etc., and also organize workshops on personal finance and dignified employment.
They believe that every youth deserves a second chance at success and are committed to changing people’s perception of unemployed youth as hopeless individuals.
