Job description

  • Conduct needs and market analyses by focusing on digital marketing channels as well as advertising within the medical aid industry.
  • Draft and recommend marketing and positioning strategies for Medihelp’s advertising and digital marketing channels, including the HealthPrint website.
  • Consult agencies or preferred providers to develop strategies that will optimise digital marketing channels.
  • Compile media plans based on marketing objects, targets and the available budget.
  • Ensure that media plans are executed according to set deadlines.
  • Keep team members informed of new developments.
  • Ensure that content on all Medihelp online platforms is consistent, and drive content development.
  • Ensure that proper testing plans are developed and implemented, and that test results are recorded for future reference.
  • Draft processes to guide the operations of digital development, maintenance and support.
  • Compile and update all relevant SOPs.
  • Measure and report growth in membership on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • A relevant three-year qualification.
  • A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in advertising and digital marketing in a financial services environment or the medical aid industry.
  • Knowledge of the following:
  • Medical Schemes Act;
  • Theory, practice and techniques of branding, marketing, media and communication;
  • Competitors in the medical aid industry, including their products and financial status;
  • Media planning and execution;
  • Web content development and social media marketing expertise;
  • UX/UI insight;
  • HTML/CSS skills;
  • Good understanding of digital analytics and the ability to translate data into actionable insights; and
  • Google ads experience.
  • A good grasp of leads generation and advertising principles.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing best practices across websites, landing pages, social media marketing, email, mobile, banner ads, online video, paid searches, SEO, and similar aspects.
  • Must possess the following skills:
