**SayPro What progress has been made so far to support and empower youth in KZN?

There has been a lot of progress made in terms of supporting and empowering youth in KZN. Some of the initiatives that have been put in place include the Youth Empowerment Fund and the African Leadership Awards. The Youth Empowerment Fund was created to provide youth with financial support and access to various resources, such as business incubation and training, in order to empower them and help them break into the job market. The African Leadership Awards are also aimed at recognizing, honoring, and celebrating exceptional young Africans who have made significant contributions to their communities and society as a whole. In addition to these initiatives, the Department of Labour has partnered with various organizations, such as Joburg Economy Forum, UJH Institute of Gender Justice and Youth Law Centre, to provide support and training on various job sectors. This way, youth in KZN will have access to a wide variety of opportunities and skillsets that will help them break into the job market and achieve their goals.
