Increasing economic empowerment through education and skills is the only way young people in KwaZulu-Natal can hope to make a good living, says SayPro CEO Heidar Jamal.

The SayPro CEO visited some of the schools in KwaZulu-Natal last month to understand how this approach can work. “Young people want to get an education and build a successful career, but they also want a life that provides for them,” he said. “A good business idea is one way of making that possible.”

Jamal said forming partnerships with local businesses will help SayPro reach the youth and give them the skills they need to be economically empowered by earning money while pursuing their studies. The company will offer mentorship assistance, too.

“Education is key for all of us,” Jamal added. “If you have a passion for something and you’re looking for ways to turn it into income, then this is where you should start.”
