Youth unemployment is a serious issue in South Africa and SayPro Diepsloot Youth Project is tackling it head on. The youth unemployment program was started by SayPro in partnership with Joburg Tourism, and aims to provide the young unemployed of Diepsloot with the skills and opportunity that they need to find sustainable employment.

The project’s Board meeting is taking place right now at their headquarters in Diepsloot, Johannesburg, where leading experts are sharing best practices on youth unemployment and other important issues affecting youth today. The SayPro Youth Project Board is proud to announce that we have participated in the Diepsloot-based SayPro project since June 2017. The project aims to provide clothing, food and other necessities for the youth of Diepsloot. Since then, we have delivered over 1000kg of fresh food, clothing, shoes and other essentials to these deserving young people.

We are committed to helping these disadvantaged youngsters eradicate poverty and homelessness from their lives. Together with SayPro, we hope to see more youth projects like this sprouting up across the globe!

Youth are our future, and it is important that we invest in those who wish to shape that future. In partnership with SayPro, we have been running a youth project at Diepsloot for the past 6 years. Through this project, we aim to develop youth leaders who will go on to make a difference in their communities. We believe that by equipping them with the right skills, they will be able to take up leadership roles in future grassroots initiatives.

At every board meeting held by SayPro, there are youth present who have been a part of our youth project since its inception. They help us keep track of progress made and share their ideas and perspectives on how best to run this programme so that we can continue doing good work in Diepsloot. Siyapro Diepsloot Youth Project is a non-profit organisation that aims at providing quality education to the economically and socially marginalised children in the area. The kids enrolled in the school are provided with quality education and a bright future. We believe in holistic development of a child and hence offer various extracurricular activities to keep them interested.
