Description

ABOUT THE TEAM

The MENA portfolio includes a wide range of projects in a variety of countries including Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, Iraq, and others. Projects are funded by a mix of European and US public donors, with the overall objective of supporting access to information and freedom of expression in countries where these are at risk. Internews’ MENA portfolio aims to implement projects with the highest quality and that best serves the needs of the region, without doing any harm.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The MENA Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning Coordinator is a regional role designed to meet the growing needs and ambitions of Internews’ rapidly expanding MENA portfolio. The role plays a key role in supporting the Regional Impact and Learning Manager in driving and improving efforts to measure, capture and demonstrate the impact of Internews’ work at local and global levels. They are responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-quality MERL within the MENA region, including providing technical support to the development and implementation of MERL frameworks, approaches, plans, and systems at the proposal and project start-up phase, devising mechanisms to monitor quality and gather insight at regular intervals, and taking a hands-on approach and completing MERL tasks where needed. They are responsible for ensuring the quality of the data collected, data analysis processes, reporting mechanisms, and report writing, including donor reports submitted on a quarterly basis. The role will report to the Regional Impact and Learning Manager but will work in close collaboration with the MENA team and relevant HQ departments as required. More importantly, they are a curious and proactive self-starter with significant research expertise and a passion for sharing this with colleagues. They are a team player and enabler, believe in the importance of using data and research findings to inform the design, and are naturally interested in knowledge management and insight sharing across different country portfolios.

LOGISTICS
