In 2015, the estimated global HIV prevalence among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) was 5.3% according to UNAIDS. Incidence of HIV among AGYW have been steadily increasing over the years, and SayPro has created a campaign to educate these youth about the disease so that they can take preventive measures.

SayPro was started by AGYW who understand how necessary it is for them to make their voices heard in order to affect change on a large scale. With their support, we’re helping drive important conversations about HIV incidence and prevention among young people across the globe. From Kenya to Canada, from Spain to India, we’re working hard so that tomorrow’s leaders are equipped with the tools they need to turn things around. Together we can make a difference.

At least 1 in 2 adolescent girls in the US is already infected with HIV. SayPro is committed to reducing this alarming statistic and has launched a new nationwide campaign to educate AGYW about the dangers of HIV. For every post, SayPro invites you to ask an HIV-positive girl or woman a question about their experience with the virus. We want to hear what’s keeping you safe, what scares you most about getting it, or even how you got tested. Please share your wisdom with us! Together, we can end the stigma around HIV and make sure that no one else has to go through what these brave women have endured.

Did you know that around 25% of people diagnosed with HIV are women? Teenage girls and young women are the most vulnerable group when it comes to contracting the disease. The number of adolescents and young adults living with HIV continues to increase and many of them don’t even know it yet. They may be unaware that they are at risk or unaware of how to prevent it.

SayPro is here to change all that! We want to make sure these girls know they’re not alone, they have support, and they can feel safe and confident knowing they’re taking control of their health. That’s why we’ve created SayPro HIV incidence among adolescent girls and young women (AGYW). This free program educates teens about safe sex, contraception, testing for STIs, and other important topics related to staying healthy. In addition, our team provides them with support and encouragement as they embark on this new journey. So next time you see someone who is living life openly with HIV or believes she may be infected, give her a wink! Or say hi! That simple gesture can help save a life.

There’s a chance that you know someone who has been diagnosed with HIV. The number of females testing positive for the disease is on the rise, and it may surprise you that this is primarily due to girls in their teens and 20s. In 2013, AGYW accounted for 41% of new HIV cases among young adults ages 20-29.

SayPro is committed to raising awareness about the HIV epidemic among young people and preventing its spread. We believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and preventive services, including those living with HIV.

How many cases of HIV are there in the erstwhile ‘seat of the mighty’? Well, it is estimated that about 1% of all HIV infections take place in India. And guess who’s majority form? That’s right! It’s adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) from the erstwhile great city of Mumbai. By: SayPro
