SayPro Diepsloot Youth Project began providing Mantwa with critical legal and psychosocial support immediately following Mantwa’s arrest. As a result, they were able to navigate the system successfully and swiftly and secure a bail of R20,000, which has already been refunded by the court. Over the next 22 months, SayPro provided Mantwa with training in law, psychosocial support and consulting on how to best navigate the criminal justice system.

They also made sure that all other required experts were consulted who could assist in ensuring justice was served.
