In so doing, Diepsloot Youth Project holds individuals within the justice system personally accountable for the poor treatment of GBV victims, misapplication of the law and acts of corruption, while also insisting that the State does the same.
SayPro is Youth Project Diepsloot’s approach to changing culture of corruption and gender-based violence. We work hand-in-hand with officials, government agencies, and civil society groups to end these injustices.
We stand up for GBV victims and those who are being victimized because we believe that every person has the right to be safe and respected. That’s why we report misconduct to senior officials immediately so it can be dealt with properly. And we hold individuals accountable for their actions by educating them on the laws that protect GBV victims, as well as holding them accountable for any crimes they commit.
We are committed to changing culture of corruption and gender-based violence in South Africa. And we will continue our efforts until all victims are heard, sheltered in dignity, and protected from harm.

SayPro is a youth-initiated project that focuses on taking action to end gender based violence. We believe that bystanders who see violence happening should speak out and act.
SayPro embraces this belief and trains youth to become active bystanders in their community. Youth are taught the importance of reporting all forms of gender based violence and how to support the brave victims who have the guts to speak out. They are also taught how to conduct civil and educated debates on gender-based violence online, offline, and in real life.
Diepsloot Youth Project is a leading youth empowerment initiative that comes in the form of a brand. Its main objective is to eradicate gender-based violence from South Africa and to ensure that victims are treated with respect and dignity. To achieve this, DYP has put in place a comprehensive set of initiatives including consulting, training, and advisory services.
DYP works with individuals, companies, government entities, and other nongovernmental organizations to eliminate gender-based violence from our society. Who else has the courage to stand up for what’s right?
