**SayPro organize competition on innovative communications and to call for actions to mitigate the impacts of climate change and disasters

Disasters can have a huge impact on us and our surroundings. In 2016, we saw one of the most destructive hurricanes in history sweep across the United States and Caribbean. This was followed by floods in Pakistan and India, earthquakes in Indonesia, and more. With increasing risks of natural disasters, it is important that we understand their ills and work to mitigate them through community-based disaster risk management (CBDRM) programs.

SayPro has developed guidelines for developing CBDRM programs so that everyone knows how to prepare for disasters and reduce their impacts. These programs help communities build resilience against natural hazards such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, cyclones, and drought.

Programs also help communities to recover faster after a disaster has hit by helping them access resources quickly, setting up temporary shelters, distributing relief material, restoring utilities, etc.

When disasters strike, the first task is to save lives and property. But many people forget the need to go beyond that. To be prepared for natural calamities and man-made disasters alike, it’s important to have a community-based disaster risk management program in place.

SayPro is one such initiative that is working towards evolving guidelines for the implementation of CBDRM programs. It has been designed so as to be adaptable to various contexts, while also considering various aspects of risk management. With SayPro, you can be confident that your communities are sufficiently prepared for any eventuality.

Do share this initiative on social media and tell everyone you know about it! So that we can all work towards holistic safety and security!

SayPro, the largest disaster risk management company in India, announced the development of guidelines for the implementation of the -year national community-based disaster risk management program-. The program is being implemented as per the directives of the ministry of home affairs under recommendation from disaster management council.

The aim of this program is to make every citizen aware about earthquake prone areas and urge them to take special precautions while traveling or staying in such areas. It also tries to get people to adopt a pre-disaster policy while planning their travel or staying outside their homes.

In a world where preparedness for natural disasters is gaining worldwide recognition, the government of India has now come up with a hugely ambitious program of community-based disaster risk management. SayPro is a unique initiative that aims to develop guidelines and templates for such programs in all states, territories, and districts across India.

The program intends to train and mobilize people as volunteer CRDs to make themselves fully-fledged members of the organization, so that they’re well-bonded, aware and ready to help in case of emergencies. Besides this, it sets up protocols for storage of critical equipment like drinking water, food, clothing etc., share updates about pre-emptive measures like flooding etc.

In order to make the country live safer and secure from natural calamities, government has been continuously implementing various CBDRM programs. One of them is SayPro, which is being organized by the Directorate of Disaster Management (DDM) in collaboration with other stakeholders like private companies, civil societies, etc.

SayPro program aims at building sustainable community-based disaster risk management and mitigation systems to increase preparedness and build resilience in the event of a calamity. It has guidelines for effective implementation, special focus on women’s vulnerabilities, as well as compelling reasons why it matters.
