   Job Overview:  The Technical Advisor for Third Country’s Solutions will lead IRC’s efforts to support expanded access to third country solutions for refugees through both resettlement and complementary pathways (CPs). The Technical Advisor will work cross functionally across the department as well as externally to represent the IRC at relevant national and international forums. S/he reports to the Senior Director for Resettlement, Asylum and Integration Programming.  Major SayPro:  · Identify and explore opportunities for IRC to further support the 2030 Roadmap for Resettlement and Complementary Pathways building off of The Three Year Strategy  Proactively position IRC’s network to respond to new programmatic opportunities and offer solutions to respond to future challenges within the changing resettlement and CP landscape. Bridge IRC’s Crisis Response and Recovery  (CRRD) and Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI) departments to pilot and scale new initiatives. · Support launch of new third country solutions projects and pilots until project staff are hired (i.e. NGO referrals, EMPP)  · Serve as the unit’s technical expert on trends and needs for global third country solutions including resettlement and complementary pathways.  · Regularly attend and engage with global task force on third country solutions (i.e. TIRN, education CPs, labor CPs, etc.) Serve as back up to the Senior Director for UNHCR convened forums on third country solutions.  Identify and explore opportunities for IRC to engage further with CPs. Together with the Senior Director, lead appropriate business development opportunities. · Support IRC’s Policy & Advocacy team in crafting the IRC’s policy positions on CPs based on Program learnings, RAI and Advocacy strategic objectives, and collaboration with partners and leaders in the CP space (e.g., the Presidents’ Alliance on Higher Education and Immigration).  · Maintain the Resettlement and Integration Technical Assistance (RITA) website utilizing US resources and adapt to European and other contexts.  · When appropriate, organize webinars for former EURITA and LARITA stakeholders– utilizing CORE and Switchboard materials and personnel support.  · In coordination with the Senior Director, provide support (in-country trainings, curriculum development, etc) to the CRISP - Sustainable Resettlement and Complementary Pathways Initiative.  · Provide Technical Assistance (outside of US), as needed, for resettlement and integration.  · As appropriate, develop internship opportunities to advance the work.  Requirements:  · Bachelor’s Degree; Advanced Degree a plus.  · Minimum 5 years’  in third country solutions.  · Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the US refugee resettlement and detailed knowledge of resettlement and complementary pathways. Global landscape knowledge highly desirable.  · Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.  · Excellent written and oral communication skills. The ability to be clear and concise and to effectively represent the IRC externally.  · Strong organizational and time-management skills;  ability to prioritize and deliver on time.  · Strong analytic problem-solving skills.  · Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite.  · Ability to manage others preferred.  Working Environment:  · A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.  · Occasional travel required; up to 20%.  · May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
