Job Description
Minimum Requirements: Relevant Degree or Diploma Quality Surveying or Similar Professional Registration would be beneficial Valid Drivers License Experience: Must have at least 3 years experience in Electrical or Civil Construction Industry, related to Quantity Surveying 3 years Management Experience (Senior QS Role) Skills and Competencies Skills: Good financial and technical skills with regards to construction work especially civil and electrical Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to interact with senior management Good interpersonal skills Good ability to write reports and presentation clear written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills English as preferred language to speak, write and communicate Computer Literate (Microsoft office suite, scheduling software, financial system) Good management and organisational skills, ability to manage conflict and change management skills. Good negotiation skills Knowledge: Strong understanding of the electrical or civil construction industry Good knowledge and experience in measuring of construction work and quantity surveying Good knowledge and understanding of the NEC suite of contracts Good knowledge and understating of the SABS/ SANS 1200 document Attributes: Analytical (attention to details) systematic, logical and process thinking Self-Driven, self-disciplined, and good time management Assertive, Direct, Persuasive, and able to influence Key Responsibilities: Strategic planning and continuous improvement Commercial management, tendering, and contracts negotiations Measurement of work Management of subcontractor functions Communication and recordkeeping Reporting
