Minimum Requirements Qualification(s): • Trade Certificate Electrical at NQF 4 with 120 Credits Experience: • 5 Years Transmission network and discipline related equipment (Lines and HV Plant) Skills and Competencies •Behavioural – Good Listener – Trustworthiness – Interpersonal relations – Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions – Ability to work under extreme weather conditions – Professionalism •Leadership – Team player – Motivating teams – Coaching and mentoring •Knowledge – Working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of line work – Considerable knowledge of the principles of electrical theory – Transmission network knowledge – ORHVS Authorization to take handover – Basic knowledge of OHSACT – Basic knowledge of software application, TWS, FALLS, LLS, TXSIS, AFIS, SAP PM, phoenix •Skills – Communication – Operation of the listed tools and equipment – Computer literate (particular Microsoft Word and Excel package) – Level 2 Line Maintenance Competency Authorisation – Level 4 (ERS Lead Supervisor) Construction Competency Authorisation – Advance rigging skills Key Responsibilities: • Supervise and carry out power line inspection, hardware defect repairs, servitude maintenance and operating • Fault investigation • Supervise and carry out power line emergency restoration • Compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental Policies • Mentoring and coaching
