Job Description
Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 with 8 years experience NQF4 Water and Wastewater Treatment process control supervision Code B drivers licence Physically fit for hard labour Must be able to read and write Good communication skills in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape Must be able to obtain a minimum classification with the Department of Water and Sanitation as a minimum Class III Process Controller Must be willing to work overtime, long hours and weekends Must be willing to perform standby duties if required by management. Duties will entail: Conduct risk-based wastewater abatement and environmental planning of wastewater treatment works during a defined shift period of a Wastewater Treatment works Coordinates, activates the operation, control and monitoring of a Wastewater Treatment Works during defined shift period Direct and controls outcomes associated with utilization, productivity and performance of personnel within the Wastewater section Coordinates and conduct operational and compliance monitoring to ensure that the plant delivers of the wastewater quality standards as per prescribed by the Department of Water and Sanitation license/General Authorisation requirements and the risk-based wastewater quality monitoring programs Process analysis Ensure accurate operational and maintenance information is maintained and available on request Technical functions.
