About the role
This role sits within the Parks and Open Spaces team and relates specifically to the National Lottery Heritage Fund funded redevelopment of Boston Manor Park – Re-Connecting Boston Manor Park which aims to reconnect the Park to nature, to its history as an estate for Boston Manor House and public space, to its immediate locality – including the River Brent and Grand Union Canal – and to the people who live around and nearby.
We are looking for someone with the practical skills to work with a range of stakeholders and manage high-profile projects. We are ideally seeking a candidate with a background in project and activities commissioning, but more importantly SayPro be passionate about working with partners and the community to transform the local provision of care for our residents and visitors.
Purpose of Role:
The post holder will champion the unique assets and features of Boston Manor Park, enthusing visitors to engage with the nature and heritage of the site. They will be responsible for developing and facilitating a wide-ranging activities programme, including its on-going evaluation.
- To deliver the learning elements of the National Lottery Heritage Fund funded Re-Connecting Boston Manor Park.
- Engaging the 21st Century project in the build-up to the sites reopening in 2022 and beyond.
- To engage with existing and look to recruit new freelance staff to help deliver specific learning objectives including those focused on schools and audience development.
- To engage with existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers in line with the project Action Plan.
- Building and maintaining relationships with community groups and partners organisations to ensure the project Action Plan is delivered with the most thorough community engagement possible in the build up to reopening the site.

- Ability to think creatively and convert ideas to create imaginative and innovative activities and learning s in an outdoor environment.
- Excellent networking and partnership working skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse audiences across a wide ability and age range.
- Flexible approach to work, ability to prioritise and cope with varying pressures and deadlines.
Essential for The Role
- University degree level or certified level in relevant vocational qualifications or can demonstrate equivalent .
