SayPro Planning How to Communicate M&E Findings

Reach agreement with project stakeholders on who needs to receive what kinds of M&E information. Table 6-8 shows the information needs of different audiences for a World Food Programme project in China. It outlines what data and insights the M&E system must produce and for whom. Note that it focuses on communicating for accountability and not on communication for action and decision-making purposes.When undertaking an audience analysis for your project, remember to:

  • include accountability, advocacy and action-oriented audiences;
  • define what you expect from the audiences by communicating with them (financial support, commitment to action, etc);
  • agree on the information (content and form) they need in order to achieve your purpose.
