SayPro Regional Partnerships Adviser Central & Eastern Europe (Warsaw, Poland)

 NRC Poland was established in March 2022 in response to the Ukraine crisis and to provide humanitarian assistance to refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. Equally NRC started operations in Romania and Moldova, as well as is scaling up its humanitarian response in Ukraine where it has been operational since 2014. To support the regional response in the best way, NRC has established the Central and Eastern Europe Regional Office (CEERO), which is based in Warsaw, Poland. This will ensure a centralised structure in proximity to the crisis and will provide coordinated support, management, advice and oversight to the country operations. Within the context of this crisis the local actor community have shown incredible engagement and ability to step up to meet needs. Responding to this context NRC’s start up in neighbouring countries (Poland, Romania and Moldova) adopted a 100% partnership approach that enabled NRC to establish a presence through rapid deployment of resources to local actorswith NRC providing quality assurance to project implementation. The role The CEERO Regional Partnerships Adviser provides strategic leadership and technical support on partnerships for the countries operational within the region. The position requires a passion for partnerships across a diverse set of local actors - understood to include the private sector, social entrepreneurs, local and national authorities and institutions, academic institutions, local NGOs and community-based organisations. The role will provide technical support to country offices, ensure coherence in strategic direction and share experience and learning. The function will engage beyond the region by sharing practical experience and guidance to ensure that NRC policy, systems and approaches meet the needs of CEERO operations. The position reports directly to the Regional Programme Director - Central and Eastern Europe Regional Office (CEERO). Technical support to country office (CO) teams to enable them to deliver effectively with, and through, local actors Provision of support to regional level strategic thinking and alignment on partnerships Sharing and learning on the experience of partnership with local actors in the CEERO region Regular liaison and coordination with other functions where there are interdependencies Other tasks as requested by the region in agreement with the Regional Programme Director Specific responsibilities:  Technical Support to country office teams   Strategic Support and Direction Setting   Sharing and Learning  Skills & Experience The Regional Partnerships Adviser is passionate about programmes and has broad programmatic experience. Comfortable with leading complex development projects across different technical areas, working with a broad range of colleagues and developing user friendly tools, frameworks and guidance. The function works well with others and understands complex organisational structures and governance systems. The post holder enjoys shifting between leading others, developing things individually and contributing to work of others, and has excellent oral and written communication skills. Minimum 6 years of relevant leadership/management/adviser experience within the humanitarian field (field experience from complex and volatile contexts is required) Evidenced experience of working with a wide range of partners. Private sector and local authorities equally important to work with local NGOs Good understanding of governance and systems within complex international organisations. High level of understanding of organisational learning, and the role and contribution of M&E to evidencing impact Familiar with systems thinking and trends in the humanitarian community, and a network to draw on to gather further insights Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, in person and remotely. Credibility to represent NRC Familiarity with advocacy and policy work to complement programmatic action. Head of Programme experience – or similar - is an asset. Fluency in English both written and verbal. Knowledge of relevant regional languages is an asset Your passion, skills, and experience can make a big difference. What We Offer Duty Station: Warsaw (Poland) or within CEE region  Contract: 12 months, possibly renewable, 25% travel across region.
