**SayPro Diepsloot Youth Project Participated in International Literacy Day!
In 2012, UNESCO declared 2012 as the year of literacy. The young generation is being taught modern methods in schools and colleges. Saypro Diepsloot Youth Project is affiliated with a renowned educational institute and has devised a comprehensive training program to impart valuable skills to children who want to be literates as they grow up.
The curriculum combines techniques from various teaching methods, while the methodology uses interactive techniques that keep the children engaged. The project runs an annual marathon to spread awareness about the importance of literacy.
SayPro Youth Project has participated in the International Literacy Day on 9th November 2016. The aim of this day is to spread awareness about importance of literacy and promote it among children, parents, teachers and other concerned people worldwide. Everyone needs to start with basics when it comes to learning new things. And SayPro Youth Project is starting with Diepsloot Municipality by teaching them basic words and numbers in English.
They are now providing free classes for locals at a nominal cost every Saturday from 10am-12noon. It will be great if you can join them on Saturday so that you can boost your vocabulary as well! See ya soon!
