The Victorian National Parks Association (VNPA) is an independent non-government, membership organisation and one of Victoria’s most effective and established conservation groups. Established in 1952 to promote and protect national parks VNPA play a leading role in the development of Victoria’s nature reserve system and conservation policy. VNPA relies predominantly on philanthropy and income from fundraising and membership programs and over the years have developed a very loyal, generous and engaged donor base.

The Role
Reporting into the executive director you will lead and manage the supporter development and fundraising team of three managing all aspects of strategic planning and implementation including major gifts, bequests, mid-level donors, trusts and foundations, government grants, membership, regular giving, corporate and appeals.
You will:
- Develop and further strengthen relationships with donors, trusts, foundations and sponsors
- Retain and recruit new financial supporters
- Collaborate with the executive director to provide strategic program advice and reporting
- Develop creative and compelling digital and hard copy fundraising materials
- Coordinate and deliver events for supporters and members
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and oversee the recruitment of new members
- Monitor and manage relevant budgets
Skills Required
This position would suit a relationship based fundraising professional that has also worked broadly across most other fundraising programs. You have team leadership experience offering a collaborative approach and also comfortable delivering all parts of the fundraising program particularly in relationship fundraising.
You will have:
- Broad experience across all fundraising streams and donor communications
- Proven experience acquiring, cultivating and retaining donors
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and deliver outcomes
- Good relationships skills when managing stakeholders
- Formal grant funding submission writing experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification highly regarded
