COID SERVICES
The word COID is abbreviated as Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases (South Africa).
To apply for COID, the documents that will be required are as under:
- Valid SA Identification.
- The firm’s Registration Document.
- COID Registration Form.
- Power of Attorney is only mandatory while using the COID service, to lawfully permit to complete the request or application on the firm’s behalf
- Evidence of Payment for the registration fees.
The individuals can claim for COID if they get injured, bond with a disease, or die while working, the deceased dependents or the person himself/herself can claim for the Compensation Fund. The fund is paid as a compensation to trainees and apprentices, permanent and casual workers, who are injured or meet a disease in the way of their work and as a result, lose income.
The purpose of CIOD Act is to provide the Compensation for disablement caused during occupational injuries or diseases under Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, No 130 of 1993 (COIDA).
