Job Overview/Summary: The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Program Officer, Strategy and Operations for an Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) program, Switchboard. Switchboard is a one-stop resource hub for refugee service providers in the United States. Switchboard provides training and capacity-building services to ORR-funded refugee service providers in the United States, including resettlement agencies and affiliates, state agencies, ethnic community-based organizations, and others. The Program Officer, Strategy and Operations will be responsible for leading Switchboard’s project management and vetting process, and for supporting and supervising Switchboard’s Administrative and Editorial Manager. This staff person may be located anywhere in the United States.
Major Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support Switchboard’s Administrative Manager and Editorial Manager
· Lead the development of Switchboard’s annual and monthly workplans; coordinate team inputs to ensure all deliverables completed on time. Troubleshoot issues that may arise.
· Lead vetting process to ensure all Switchboard materials have been copy-edited and reviewed for branding by Editorial Manager; approved by content experts; and approved by federal reviewers
· Together with Program Officer, Partnerships, ensure payments to consultants and vendors are issued accurately and efficiently by Administrative Manager
· Assist with writing and dissemination of donor and external briefings, semi-annual reports, monthly reports, and other materials as requested.
· Participate in Switchboard’s data analysis and action planning processes led by monitoring and evaluation (M&E) staff
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in related field (or equivalent experience)
· Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in project management, strategy, operations, or similar field
· Demonstrated experience managing complex projects
· Demonstrated commitment to data-driven programming
Preferred Experience and Skills:
· Familiarity and/or experience with ORR-funded refugee resettlement and integration programs
· Familiarity and/or experience with technical assistance, capacity-building, and/or training programs
Working Environment: Standard office and/or remote working environment. This role may require working remotely full or part time and part time remote employees may be required to share workspace.
