We know how important it is to closely link healthcare and wellbeing, but many traditional communities don’t have awareness of their right to quality healthcare. To bridge this gap, SayPro has designed a home visiting model that helps tribal communities understand their healthcare rights and connect with healthcare providers. Home visiting programs are implemented in tribal communities by Saypro’s dedicated healthcare partners, and they’re growing every day.

Part 2 of our series on implementing home visiting programs in tribal communities looks at lessons learned about implementation and evaluation. In this installment, we discuss key takeaways from over 20 years of home visitation research to help guide you in creating a successful home visiting program for your tribe.

But the most important takeaway from all of this is the feeling that collectively makes us want to be kind-hearted individuals: that is, being an active participant in global wellbeing through ways other than just donating money or volunteering hours.

When it comes to healthcare, many facilities in tribal communities lack the basic necessities like medicines, nursing care, etc. Such facilities need not just any healthcare provider, but a company that is equipped with everything needed.

SayPro is one such company that has proven its expertise and commitment to the health needs of tribal communities. Through its home visiting program, SayPro ensures that tribal members receive the best possible healthcare services. The impressive part about this program is that it does not discriminate on the basis of age or gender, and it also focuses on preventive measures rather than cure-all therapies.

In this article, we present you with some lessons learned from SayPro’s implementation and evaluation of the home visiting programs. To know more about other ways in which Say Pro has been helping Indians overcome their healthcare shortcomings, head over to our website!

Assessing the research on home visiting programs implemented in tribal communities is important to learn lessons that can be applied in other untracked populations. In this part, we share some of the learning experiences on how these programs have been implemented and evaluated across many different tribal health care settings. The articles are presented on a standalone basis but can be read as one whole piece if you wish.
