Description

Youth unemployment is a big problem in South Africa. The rate ranges from 20% in Gauteng to almost 50% in the Eastern Cape. Youth who are jobless for long periods of time are at a high risk of becoming trapped in cycles of poverty and criminality. That’s where SayPro Diepsloot Youth Project comes in. This project, which was launched by Diepsloot First Church, aims to bring hope and opportunities to youth who have been consistently denied access to both.

By partnering with SayPro, the youth project is able to provide clean drinking water, proper sanitation, and nutritional food to these young men and women, who otherwise would have gone without. SayPro is also able to build relationships with young people that will last a lifetime, and they’re providing an opportunity that was previously unavailable to these youth. So say thanks!

Our youth project conducts various educational programs in schools and communities across South Africa. We teach young people about global issues such as poverty, gender equality, and health. We also encourage them to participate in social action and volunteerism.

These companies include restaurants, schools, malls, and many more which are looking for unique and skilled workforce.

There are currently around 100 youth enrolled in this project where they have been trained in different skills and are being mentored by the companies themselves.
