Last Sunday was a red-letter day for Children and Youth in Lavender Hill. The area saw many of its residents collecting dry-crust noodles, canned food, water and other essentials for those in need. The event was organised by SayPro, an online platform that connects people with organisations that work tirelessly to improve the lives of children and youth in their area. While on their way to the collection site, drivers honked their horns and waved at the participants in support.

In turn, the residents smiled back and waved as if saying ‘thank you’.
