**SayPro empowers unemployed youth in MAHLAYIZENI Area

There are many reasons why a youth might lose hope and get stuck in unemployment. Some may think that the world of work is not for them, or that job options are few, or maybe they fear failure or rejection. What SayPro wants to do is change all that.

SayPro is an initiative from Unseen, an NGO working towards changing these perceptions and giving unemployed youths a new lease of life. They believe in creating sustainable solutions that empower and change lives, one person at a time.

Through this initiative, they have come up with SayPro, a program designed to help unemployed youth look beyond their perceived limit and stand on their feet. The program equips participants with the necessary skill sets and provides mentoring to help them find employment.

Come on, admit it. When you were unemployed, you’d think ‘what if I apply for a job and get rejected?’ Or, ‘I can’t afford to attend interviews because I am in college.’ We feel it too. So when we heard about SayPro, we knew that this has to change!

SayPro is an employment initiative of 2C-2B Youth Development & Entrepreneurship Center that brings youth together to create a platform where they can learn new skills and develop their potential while making a positive impact on their community. Through SayPro, unemployed youth have the opportunity to receive training in soft skills like verbal communication and confidence building; gain valuable work experience through volunteering or interning at local businesses; and finally build their own business through attending one of our boot camps.
