**SayPro empowers unemployed youth in MAMPE Area

MAMPE is one of the largest urban slums in Visakhapatnam. It has a population of nearly 9,000 and more than half of them are unemployed youth. These young people have a bright future ahead of them and SayPro is helping them to realize their potential.

SayPro is an initiative by the MAMPE Youth Forum that strives to provide an inclusive environment that encourages youth to network, communicate and create opportunities to enhance skills and build confidence.

In Mampre area where unemployment is high, SayPro’s mission is to empower unemployed youth and make them competitive in the job market. The organization has been taking various steps towards this noble cause and recently conducted a job fair where almost 40 companies participated. The turnout was encouraging, with companies hiring around 10% of the unemployed youth from Mampre district.

“We are excited about our partnership with SayPro,” said Anshuman Sharma, co-founder of Appster, one of the participating companies on the fair. “We believe that working together we can create a positive change in the lives of young people in Mampre.”

This innovative program has been designed by unemployed youth themselves to empower and provide necessary skills to those who have no access to education or career development.

The SayPro team works closely with local organizations, schools, and government agencies to identify and register unemployed individuals. Once enrolled, SayPro provides the participants with educational training on topics like resume writing, interview skills, and more. These workshops are free of cost for participants, making the entire process even more convenient for them. Who says you can’t be an entrepreneur when you aren’t in the workforce?

In Mpe area, there is a new startup that is changing that perception. It’s called SayPro and it’s run by unemployed youth who have found a way to give back to the society they call home. With the goal of empowering youth, SayPro offers them mentoring support and entrepreneurial know-how, which helps them launch their own businesses.

One such individual is Chisom Nkem, who was stuck between jobs and decided to take matters into his own hands. He joined SayPro as a mentor and helped Chineye Okafor set up her first online shop selling beauty products. The two eventually graduated to owning their own brands and running their business independently. That’s what we call entrepreneurship at its best!

Young adults face a lot of uncertainties in their lives, and unemployment is one of them. Keeping up with the hustle and bustle of the big city life can be difficult, especially when you don’t have proper employment to help take care of yourself or your family. With SayPro, that’s no longer the case.

MAMPE area has officially launched SayPro. This idea was conceived by a few youth leaders who believe there’s ample talent among the unemployed youth, and they want to see them utilize it! The idea is to help these young adults gain skills, develop confidence, and find job opportunities that will fit their skill set and personality.
