Description
- Conducts annual training and development needs assessment.
- Develops training and development programs and objectives.
- Liaise with SETA’s Industry bodies, manage Training Providers/vendors
- Ensure compliance with all SETA requirements and ensuring mandatory and discretionary grants are recovered
- Aligning training with Industry Skills to maximize grants
- Prepare the annual training budgeting tool
- Manage divisional training budgets
- Lead and manage team, which includes trainers, SDF and admin
- Ensures all BBBEE tracking in relation to SD pillar in terms of spend and training
- Preparing training reports and keep track of training spend and ROI
- Liaise with HRGM’s and Managers on training needs and potential training gaps
- Administers spending against the departmental & divisional budget.
- Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.
- Trains and coaches’ managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.
- Ensures Development plans are implemented for career progression, performance improvement and continual professional or career development
- Ensures training policies and procedures are implemented
- Manage training & bursary contracts
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.
- Develops and maintains organizational communications such as intranet bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Modifies programs as needed.
