Description
The KZN Youth Economic Empowerment Strategy is a five-year plan designed to create sustainable jobs and economic opportunities for youth in the Kuils River province. Launched in 2016, the strategy focuses on eight key areas: entrepreneurship, business development, employability training, information and communications technology (ICT), agriculture, tourism and hospitality, sport and recreation, and community outreach. To date, the strategy has helped launch more than 100 businesses across all eight sectors, created over 1 500 jobs, and supported more than 4 000 volunteer activities by youth groups in KZN. Thanks to the KZN Youth Economic Empowerment Strategy, young people in KZN are thriving today!
