SayPro We do not work with orphanages; these are children and youth at our local neighbourhood care point (day-care centres where underprivileged children and youth can learn and play and receive meals for the day). In all cases, we conduct background/DBS checks and make sure that volunteers assist rather than directly teach as this placement lasts two to three weeks. In general, any internships on our trips that involve direct teaching must last a minimum of four weeks and require volunteers to have relevant TEFL or equivalent teaching qualifications.
