About the role:

This role will support the implementation of the safeguarding framework, and best practices across other programs in the Middle as required, ensuring that staff is supported and the program is not just compliant, but exceeding our safeguarding standards. They will focus on strengthening a safe culture and environment, promoting safeguarding awareness, providing staff/survivor support, and ensuring that across the program, staff are encouraged and feel empowered to report. A key requirement of this role is investigating and resolving Safeguarding issues in the program. They will also provide advice to managers when safeguarding issues are raised and support partner organizations with due diligence when required. The post holder will also ensure that reporting mechanisms are established, managed, and strengthened.

About you:

A proactive and solution-orientated candidate who brings the experience of working in a safeguarding position, preferably in a stand-alone international NGO or charity setting. You will have experience in identifying and mitigating risks, conducting investigations, and resolving safeguarding issues.

You will be expected to work across multiple teams, providing expert advice and guidance. This will require excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships with colleagues. Excellent interpersonal skills will be essential including proven experience in influencing decision makers.

You will also have previous experience in supporting, designing, and delivering internal training that will help develop confidence and competence within the program to raise awareness of safeguarding and support with case management.committed to the principles of diversity, equality, and inclusion.
