Job Description

Minimum Requirements Qualification(s): • B Degree/B Tech in Information Technology/Information Systems/Management At NQF 7 with 360 credits Related Minimum Experience: • 4 years’ Eskom business and relevant IT experience Skills and Competencies: • Behavioral • Communication and interpersonal relations • Integrity • Professionalism • Honesty • Trustworthiness • Innovative Leadership • Teamwork-working in a team towards a common goal as well as the ability to lead and empower a team • Ability to work and interact effectively with people at senior levels • Stakeholder management • Results orientated • Initiative • Self-driven and motivated Knowledge: • Understanding of an IT environment • Computer technology and applications • Understanding ITIL Foundation • Fault logging system • ISO 9001 • Relevant system function • Escalation and change control process • Eskom business process and value chains • Understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies Skill: • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • Good problem solving • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Business acumen • Application and system configuration • Training delivery • Intermediate to Advanced skills in C#, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript, JSON WebSQL, • Intermediate to Advanced WordPress Administration skills • Web UI – Graphic Design • IIS and Apache Tomcat configuration and management skills • Intermediate to Advanced skills: Linux server administration • Backend Basics: .Net framework and PHP Key Responsibilities: • Provide a consultative service to customers • Development of Functional Specification Requirements documents • Contribute to Solution design • Provide system solution training and develop system user guide • Test solution • Change and Release management – Solution enhancement: QA and Production deployments • System performance monitoring • Provide specialist system and user support for logged problems and information requests • Assist in document processes and reviews
