Minimum Requirements Qualification(s): • B degree or B Tech in Law/Commerce/Engineering at NQF 7 with 360 credits Related Experience: • 7 years experience in construction or built environment and contract management Skills and Competencies Behavioural: • Professionalism • Honesty and integrity • Sound people management acumen Leadership: • Self-motivated • Coaching, mentoring and developing teams Knowledge: • General project management • Contract management and related knowledge areas • Excellence knowledge of contract and commercial law • Specialist knowledge of construction contracts (NEC & FIDIC) • Specialist knowledge in dispute resolution (especially in FIDIC a nd NEC) • Specialist knowledge of commercial and risk aspects of contracts • Contracts risk management • In depth knowledge of divisional business and Eskom in general • In depth knowledge of the Eskom procurement processes Skill: • Strategic, analytical ad problem solving • Finance & business analysis • Negotiation • Excellent communication Attributes: • Business acumen • Innovative • Efficient • Competent Assessment: • Team player • Analytical • Self-Starter Key Responsibilities: • Lead and influence the development and management of package strategies and implement priority initiatives on projects • Provide expert and specialist advice and recommendations on contract strategies such that commercial and project risks are effectively mitigated and managed • Provide critical specialist advice and recommendations on usage and management of FIDIC and NEC forms of contracts, and associated dispute resolution processes. • Lead and influence the continuous improvement of contract management function in the organisation.
