KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: Manage operational activities and the planning thereof. Implement and manage the breeding policy, including artificial insemination (sufficient practical ) and identify A.I bulls in line with the policy. Manage the milking and cooling process. Herd management and calf rearing. Feeding and pasture management. Herd performance management (able to interpret and act on Intergis milk recording reports). Draft effective performance reports and report at meetings. Effective budget and procurement management. Ensure that Risk and Security are addressed on the farm in line with applicable policies. Accountable for healthy HR practices to ensure motivated, well-trained and disciplined staff. Build healthy relations with the adjacent community, role players and clients to enhance the Casidra brand. TO BE CONSIDERED YOU WILL HAVE: An applicable tertiary qualification in Agriculture (NQF 5 – National Diploma in Agriculture) would be ous. At least 5 years’ in practical dairy management and sufficient technical knowledge. Experience in vegetable seed production would be ous. Experience in general management, budgeting, financial management and procurement. Experience in Report Writing. Proficient in using the MS Office package including drafting of spreadsheets, Word and Outlook. A valid code EB driver’s license. Proficient in Afrikaans and English. Skills: Good time management, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, effective verbal and listening communications skills, leadership skills, people management skills, and be able to manage teams.
