Job Description

REQUIREMENTS: An NQF level 7 qualification in Natural Sciences / Social Sciences or relevant qualification. Five (5) years experience at middle / senior managerial experience. Six (6) to ten (10) years functional experience in Water Resource Management environment / relevant sector. Knowledge of water quality management. Knowledge of monitoring of water quality and quantity. Knowledge of business and management principles. Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation of human resources. Knowledge of Public Service Act and Regulations. Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act. Knowledge of project management. Strategic capability and leadership. Programme and project management skills, financial management, change management, knowledge management, service delivery innovation, problem solving and analysis, people management and empowerment, client orientation and customer focus, communication, accountability and ethical conduct. DUTIES: Provide strategic leadership and business planning. Support sustainable and equitable water resource management. Provide universal access to safe and affordable water services by regulating all water users. Manage compliance monitoring and enforcement.
