Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be required to provide support to students, especially those at risk of not succeeding within the Faculty, in order for such students to be successful. MINIMUM REQUIRENENTS: • Honours degree in Educational Psychology or a honours degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work • Minimum experience of three years as a student mentor or advisor at a tertiary institution and understanding of curricular issues REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES): • Computer literate and competent working with Excel; • Good communication skills; • Empathic and helpful nature; • Facilitation skills • Organizational skills • Registration or membership with a professional body. ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES: • A master’s degree in Educational Psychology or Counselling Psychology. • Two years of experience in Career counselling.
