SayPro Financial Capability Program Management
Job Overview: The Financial Capability Program Manager will oversee the office’s direct service financial capabilities programs. These services include group trainings, workshops and individual financial counseling and coaching sessions for refugees and immigrants. Additionally, this position oversees a broad and successful Down Payment Assistance (DPA) and matched savings (IDA) program. They will be responsible for ensuring that these programs meet performance goals per funder and contract requirements, are responsive to client needs, and operate within budget and compliance parameters. The position will directly supervise direct service staff and work with office leadership to ensure program sustainability through program and resource development activities including participating in proposal writing, fundraising, and grant administration and reporting. The Financial Capability Program Manager will take a lead in communicating program models, success, and outcomes to staff, community partners and funders. As a member of the office Leadership Team they will work collaboratively to leverage programming for highest impact through cross-program integration and significant contribution to overall program strategy formulation This is a full time, regular term position. Responsibilities: · Ensure that all programs consistently meet all established grant outcomes as well as internal benchmarks established by donors and IRC Leadership through regular and systematic case file reviews, implementing quality assurance protocols, engaging on data tracking/analysis and performing other administrative functions to ensure and provision of quality services. · Provide leadership and supervision to program staff including leading team meetings, providing individual supervision, coaching and goal-setting, performance evaluation, managing workloads, and helping staff troubleshoot challenges. · Provide professional development opportunities for staff through the IRC learning portal, relevant regional and national workshops and conferences, and mentorship on new skill development. · Oversee all tracking of program metrics including client case files, activity log, and revenue generated by participants, and other metrics as needed. Develop and communicate systems and protocols for all Financial Capability staff regarding data tracking and reporting · Support all grant writing, fundraising, and public relations efforts, including reporting, in collaboration with Directors, Deputy Directors and IRC SLC Executive Director · Coordinates Individual Development Account (IDA) and Down Payment Assistance (DPA) programs; supports IDA and DPA staff in meeting program deliverables. · Oversees team to act as local support for applying for and following up on credit-building and consumer loans given to clients through the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO); · Oversees annual VITA tax preparation services targeted to refugees and new Americans. · Work collaboratively with other programs to ensure that programming is integrated into the continuum of IRC services. · Significantly contribute to program and office-wide strategic planning and program design. · Recruits, works with and supports financial capability partners and volunteers, including financial institutions, other donors and the wider community. · Support all grant writing, fundraising, and public relations efforts, including reporting, in collaboration with Directors, Deputy Directors and IRC SLC Executive Director · Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: · Undergraduate degree, or equivalent experience, in Business, Small Business Development, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Education, or related field. Work Experience: · 4 years of professional experience working in finance field providing basic financial literacy preferred. · Experience supervising staff; preferably within a social service environment. · Experience managing grant-funded programs, especially federally funded programs, strongly preferred. · Experience working in a direct service role preferred. · Experience and training in trauma-informed and person-centered services Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: · Strong organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritizing, planning, and effective time management. · Ability to work independently as well as on a close, collaborative team. · Fluency in written and spoken English, with bi-lingual ability preferred. · Ability to communicate with limited-English speakers and demonstrated multicultural experience. · Competency in Microsoft Office required; additional technical skills an asset. · Valid driver’s license, active insurance policy and access to reliable transportation. Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to: Entrepreneurship and Economic Wellbeing Director Position Directly Supervises: Asset Building Coordinator, Financial Capability Coordinator, VITA Assitant, and other seasonal staff as needed. May supervise: AmeriCorps members, Summer Associates, Interns, and Volunteers as needed Work Environment: · Standard office work environment along with travel in and around the service delivery area · Flexibility to work some Saturdays and some weekday evenings as needed to support programming.
