SayPro Graduate Trainee in Marketing and Communications
PURPOSE OF THE GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAMME The overarching objective of the graduate program is to transition graduates from a higher learning institution to a work environment. We aim to help graduates become well- rounded young professionals with great prospects and a positive future. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, MEASURES & INTERFACES Key Measures Assist PR and Communications Specialist with internal and external newsletters, print publications, social media, event management and other duties required in this area. Assist the Marketing & Branding Officer with research on relevant industry trade events, marketing & branding initiatives, digital & programmatic marketing, as well as other duties in this area. Assist with research and writing articles to be updated on the website and intranet Assist in the coordination of relevant events.Assist with essential graphic design elements. Assist in coordinating and managing branding material at events or where branding opportunity exists. Assist with CSR and other administrative duties in the Marketing, Communications & CSR department. Key Interfaces Heads of business units and relevant professionals throughout the Corporation. CSR beneficiaries and outsourcing WHAT WE CAN EXPECT FROM YOU A three-year qualification in Public Relations, Marketing and Communications, Digital Marketing or Graphic Design. Excellent understanding of the Marketing and Communications practice. Experience in Graphic Design would be an added advantge. Candidate expected to have background and knowledge of graphic design programmes. Must be a South African Citizen at the time of application. SKILLS AND ABILITIES The incumbent should have demonstrated the following competencies: Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal Understanding of the trade and business media Creativity and ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines. Good research and internet skills Good article writing skills Excellent team player Basic skills IT skills (including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel) Understanding of brand promotion and advertising Graphic design skills The incumbent is required to have the following Behavioural competencies: Problem Solving: Demonstrates basic problem-solving skills and appropriately applies proven solutions.
