CONTEXT The Global Health direction works to ensure that SDG 3 “Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages” can become a reality for persons with disabilities and vulnerable populations all along the various Nexus contexts. We focus on inclusive health system strengthening, inclusive health programming and prevention of preventable impairments and we work on the following sectors: Safe and Inclusive Mobility (1 specialist), Mental Health and Psycho social support (4 specialists), Environmental Health (1 specialist) , Sexual and Reproductive health , including Family planning, HIV, Maternal , newborn and child health (1 specialists) and Disability Inclusive Health Policies (1 Lead). We work in close collaboration with the other technical directions, namely Rehabilitation, Protection, and Social & Inclusion, as well as with the 5 geographic directions. Description OBJECTIVES Under the responsibility of the Director of the Global Inclusive Health division, the MHPSS Specialist is an expert who ensures strategic technical guidance, support and control in his scope of expertise. He/she provides standards and methodologies, ensures mentoring, supports optimal quality and impact and promotes innovation, research and professional development. He/she contributes within the Global Health division to the implementation of the mandate and the 10-year strategy of Humanity & Inclusion. The MHPSS Specialist ensures that synergies within the sector and outside are identified and fostered. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Your main responsibilities are: 1. Expertise : 1.1 Set framework and standards and encourage the evolution of the MHPSS technical know-how under his scope 1.2 Provide strategic technical guidance at HQ and field levels 1.3 Ensure the control of the technical quality and the relevance of HI’s MHPSS activities 1.4 Contribute to the improvement of technical know-how through the development of lessons learnt, research and innovation projects in MHPSS when relevant 1.5 Facilitate the MHPSS Technical sector professional development 2. Influence : 2.1 Contribute to the international prestige and influence of HI’s expertise in MHPSS 2.2 Support the identification & the development of partnerships and/or consortium with NGOs, Institutions, and Companies on technical priorities or important topics in MHPSS 3. Business development : 3.1 Contribute to the development of major opportunities or new projects in MHPSS, in line with the Technical Director, the development officer when relevant, and the Institutional Funding team DESIRED PROFILE: • You hold a Master’s level or equivalent in mental health or psychology from a recognized university or academic institute • You have 5 years of experience in the field of MHPSS for an INGO • You have a master skills building and Project Management Experience • You have 5 years’ experience in MHPSS, integrating experience abroad in low and middle income countries • You have proficiency in written and oral institutional communication, in French and in English • You promote participation and cooperation in MHPSS activities and in multidisciplinary / sectoral work • You have an empathic attitude and resilience to stress and uncertainty CONDITIONS OF THE POSITION: • Starting date: as soon as possible • Type of contract : CDI – Open ended contract • Additional benefits depending of the location             How to apply       APPLY: Only by the following link: http://www.jobs.net/j/JsBfxMBL?idpartenaire=136 For further information about the association: www.hi.org Only successful candidates will be contacted.
