Job Description

The primary role of this position is to provide teaching, research and leadership in Academic Literacy. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements Senior Lecturer Lecturer Highest qualification Doctoral qualification in Academic Literacy related field. Masters’ qualification and preferably a Doctoral qualification or progress towards a Doctoral qualification in Academic Literacy or a relevant discipline. Teaching experience 5 years at university level. Strong knowledge of Academic Literacy. Some experience with the facilitation of learning, possible as a Tutor and preferably some teaching experience. Strong knowledge of Academic Literacy. Research A strong record of research outputs including papers in accredited national and International journals and presentations at national and international conferences. A good record of postgraduate supervision at Masters’ level with some of these students publishing their research. Some evidence of research activity such as published papers or conference attendance, which may be associated with postgraduate research. Engagement Participation in learned societies. Some application of disciplinary/ professional knowledge and skills to the benefit of the external community. Preference will be given to applicants who have some experience with engagement activities.
