Technical Writer

A leading tech company providing cutting-edge software solutions and data analytics to the maritime industry seeks an experienced technical writer committed to always delivering innovative and high-quality content. The ideal candidate will be highly meticulous, possess a University Degree in Computer Science/Engineer or similar discipline, have proven work experience in technical writing of software documentation, able to grasp & articulate technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures and strong MS Office skills and exceptional written English. This is a fully Remote role.
Duties:

• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
• Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
• Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
• Analyse existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
• Create and maintain the information architecture.

Requirements:

• University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Proven working experience in technical writing of software documentation.
• Ability to grasp and articulate technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.
• Excellent written skills in English.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Basic familiarity with the SDLC and Software Development.
