**SayPro Youth Success Specialist
Job Overview: IRC Boise’s Youth Services Program provides support for school-age refugee youth and their families in helping refugee youth access extra-curricular activities. The Youth Success Specialist will coordinate specific programming and serve as a liaison between refugee families and community partners providing after-school programming. This will include curriculum development, direct instruction, supervision of volunteers and interns, and coordinating with community partner staff and families. Under the supervision of the Youth Services Supervisor, the Youth Success Specialist is responsible for project implementation and evaluation. This position ensures that goals and program objectives are accomplished in tandem with IRC staff, refugee parents, refugee youth, community partners, and volunteers. Major Responsibilities: Develop culturally appropriate and level-appropriate curriculum to engage students in learning and enrichment in various settings, including after school programs, summer programs, and workshops. Assist with data collection and tracking to meet funder requirements and for internal program monitoring and evaluation. Supervise and support volunteers and interns assisting with youth programming, including after-school programs, summer school programs, and workshops. Identify and enroll refugee students into IRC Youth Program services; conduct regular follow-up with students and families to ensure participants are on track toward service plan goals. Participate in all program meetings, staff development activities, and fully engage as a member of the IRC team. Comply with all policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency. Other related duties as assigned. Job Requirements: · Associates Degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a non-profit or social services agency environment. · Lived refugee or immigrant experience strongly preferred. · Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations preferred. · Excellent English written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. · Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships. · Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to prioritize and manage time effectively. · Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research, and problem-solving purposes. · Ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a fast-paced team environment. · Ability to lift 35+ lbs. safely. · Valid driver's license and access to a personal, insured vehicle. Demonstrated Skills & Competencies: Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships. Demonstrated success working and communicating effectively in a multi-cultural environment. Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy in work product. Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by IRC’s clients is desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes. Valid driver’s license and access to a personal, insured vehicle. Working Environment: A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities. May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
