The Organisation
  
Suicide Prevention Australia (SPA) is the national peak body for the suicide prevention sector. SPA is a member-based organisation that’s guided by people with lived experience of suicide, counting amongst its members the largest and many of the smallest organisations working in suicide prevention, practitioners, researchers and community leaders.
  
SPA exists to provide a clear, collective voice for suicide prevention so that together lives can be saved and, through collaboration and shared purpose, works towards the ambition of a world without suicide.
  
The Role
  
In this newly established role, you will analyse suicide prevention data, support evidence-informed policy and the communication of data for members, and guide the impact measurement of Suicide Prevention Australia activities and the collective impact of the sector.
  
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, you’ll work across the organisation to help SPA collect, analyse and learn from data and evidence, including to:

• Lead the organisation’s analysis and communication of suicide prevention data
• Implement and report on impact metrics, analysis of trends and organisational data
• Advise on good practice quantitative and qualitative data and research methods
• Support efforts to build capacity and capability for data usage and awareness in the sector

Skills Required
  
You have a passion for social impact and you’re motivated to use your skills to contribute to SPA’s ambition for a world without suicide.
  
Qualifications, skills or experience in data analysis or impact measurement are required. Experience in data and impact roles in corporate, social purpose or public health organisations preferred.
  
You thrive working in a dynamic environment and you bring demonstrated skills and ability in:

• Data research, evaluation and impact measurement
• Qualitative, quantitative and mixed research methods
• Supporting others to build data capability
• Developing and maintaining relationships with a range of stakeholders
• MS Office suite, Excel, software for data management and CRM Systems
