Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be expected to provide complete administrative and management support to the Centre for Faith and Community. This will include: Manage the administrative functions in the Centre; Providing secretarial support for the Centre; Financial administration for the Centre; Handle all communication at the Centre; Student Administration: Enterprises, short courses and Undergraduate; General duties; Providing operational and administrative support, and personal assistance, to the Director of the Centre. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Relevant National 3 year Diploma with two year’s in Office Administration and Office Management or Grade 12 with four years in office Administration and Office Management; REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND BEHAVIOURAL ATTRIBUTES): Proficient in secretarial tasks; Knowledge of financial systems; student and office management; Computer literacy; Organising, administrative, financial and event management skills; Ability to work well in complex, diverse and fast-moving context; Ability to relate well to people from all strata of society; Ability to work well as a team player; Flexibility and ability to adapt to change; Thorough in execution and paying attention to detail; Ability to work well under pressure and to finalize tedious tasks within time-frames; Communication skills, both oral and written (English). The candidate should be able to identify with and support the values, vision and commitments of the Centre, be flexible in terms of work style, and able to flourish in a fast-paced setting, responsive to contextual challenges. ADDED ADVANTAGES AND PREFERENCES: Relevant Bachelor’s degree; Experience working in a faith-based or theological context; Experience in the higher education sector; Experience in the non-profit sector; Driver’s licence.
